A Look Back at 2024: Rogue Wave Coffee's Milestones
As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve had in 2024. From growing our team and exciting product launches to international competitions and new collaborations, this year has been one for the books. Here’s a recap of the highlights:
Overall:- 🌎 Shipped to 50 countries, spreading the love of specialty coffee and quality brewing gear worldwide.
- ☕ Grew to a team of 16 passionate coffee enthusiasts — from baristas to production roasters.
- 🌀 Launched the Rogue Wave Blue Origami Air, a sleek new addition to our lineup of brewing gear.
- ✈️ Traveled to Chicago for the Specialty Coffee Association Expo, immersing ourselves in the global coffee community.
- 🏆 Competed in the inaugural Canadian National Ibrik/Cezve Championship 2024 (aka Turkish Coffee) in Toronto — and guess what? Ply won! Learn more about Cezve/Ibrik and Ply's experience in competition here.
- 🌍 Ply represented Canada at the World Ibrik/Cezve Championship at the World of Coffee in Copenhagen, Denmark.
- ⚾ Partnered with the Edmonton Riverhawks, showcasing our logo on limited-edition baseball jerseys and offering a dinger of a summer promo!
- 🎉 Celebrated Rogue Wave Coffee’s 9th Anniversary! Check out some highlights on Instagram.
- 🏅 Jessie and Felipe represented Rogue Wave at the Canada National Aeropress Competition in Calgary. Leading up to the competition, Jessie qualified at Canmore regional comp and Felipe qualified at the Sherwood Park regional comp. Learn about their experience in competition here!
- 🎨 Unveiled our new 1KG coffee bags, designed by the talented Ray Dak Lam.
- 🌏 Dave Laville and Ply visited Tokyo for the SCAJ Expo and to visit the Origami Factory, where they connected with coffee professionals from around the world. Check out the recap here.
- 🍁 Jessie, Steely, and Ply competed in Montreal at the Tasters Cup and Brewers Cup. Ply won Brewers Cup and will be competing in May 2025 in Jakarta on the world stage! Read more about it here.
