MK Studio designed and tested the MANTLE dripper in their Copenhagen studio as a flat-bed pour-over dripper built for even saturation and consistent extraction. The flat bed keeps water in even contact with the grounds throughout your pour, making it forgiving enough for everyday brewing and capable enough for competition.

MANTLE works with any small wave filter, including the Kalita Wave 155 and Sibarist Flat S, with no adapters needed. It also seats Sibarist profiler screens and booster disks, so you can swap the screen, adjust the resistance, and change your extraction profile — all with one dripper. The included filter setter, pressor, and base position and flatten the filter for zero bypass.

Each dripper is hand wedged before forming, which creates the marbled pattern that runs through the porcelain, so no two are identical. MK Studio then forms each piece on a clay press for accuracy and durability, hand glazes it, and fires it at 1260°C.

MANTLE shares its exterior form with MK Studio's C cup, a shape that has been part of the studio since the beginning. It's the first product MK Studio designed for their 10th year, and every piece is handmade in Copenhagen.

Important note on MK Studio quality

  • MK Studio products are handmade and each piece is unique with a distinct appearance. Small drips and holes on the surface are normal and not considered defects. Scratches and marks will occur and are not considered defects. The glaze makes each item unique, and the colour may vary depending on the firing temperature and glaze composition.
  • All MK Studio ceramics are made with food-grade materials.

Cleaning & care of MK Studio porcelain

  • Unglazed porcelain surfaces are sometimes susceptible to light stains, unlike glazed porcelain. Frequent washing can help remove and prevent staining. All MK Studio products are dishwasher safe for daily washing and care. You can also place the item in a bowl of warm water with a detergent tab. Very stubborn stains and spots can sometimes be removed with diluted chlorine and lime remover.
  • Dark lines in the glaze (usually caused by silverware) can be removed by scrubbing with a sponge, dish soap, and baking soda. Grease stains on matte glaze can be removed with baking soda and water.
  • If greasy fingerprints appear, rub the exposed porcelain with food-safe oils, let sit, then clean with soap and water.
  • We highly suggest letting boiling water settle (stop rolling or bubbling) before pouring it into a tableware item, especially a handmade piece. If the item is very cold to the touch, preheat it with hot tap water. Pouring boiling water directly into a cool handmade piece may cause the item or glaze to crack.
