This paper is really a triumph for us. A great replacement for the trusty (and somewhat rusty) Kalita Wave paper that our brewers were designed to use initially - with the same brew times but much cleaner, more transparent results. A premium paper stock from Japan is the basis of our new wave-shaped paper with superior results at comparable prices. We know this is what all manufacturers say about their own paper - but we really mean it. We have tested them all and this is the best option - period.

The paper construction is quite thick but also porous, which helps improve performance compared to alternatives. We didn't like this paper in a flat format, but loved it in a wave shape - where its properties really shine.

In the cup, you will have superior clarity but no papery taste - which was very important for us. This means less need for wasting hot water in pre-wetting and a more delicious cup of coffee. 

Fast but not the fastest option

This paper is fast, but not the fastest option we have for this brewer. If you want to brew quicker and grind finer, we recommend using the Negotiator and the Sibarist FAST Flat papers.

Compatible with all except the Big Boy

This paper works in the V3, V3 MK2, Glass Series OPEN, V4 Narrow & V4 Wide. The only brewer this paper is not compatible with is the Big Boy, which has its own wave-shaped filter.

One size

We currently stock this paper only in the "Large / 185" size. These papers would be compatible with any brewer that works with Kalita Wave 185 filters as this shape and size is equivalent.
