In Guatemala, women make up the majority of the coffee labour force but own disproportionately few assets and face significant barriers within the industry. The ELLA program was created to address this gap, providing participating farmers with market access and a stable buyer, along with on-the-ground education support aimed at reducing costs and improving yields.
